However, there are political ideologies that may serve as counter examples to this definition - libertarians, the authoritarian right, libertarian socialists, anarcho-syndicalists and the old right. OWNED

| There are multiple definitions. Libertarians say that less government interference is more right. some people say more equality is more left. some say that left is what I said. BUt always socialism and communism are left and liberalism is right. | |

People on the left believe in direct democracy 'rule of the majority by the majority' and common ownership of the means of production. We believe in political equality, economic equality and equality of opertunity. Inequality from our perspective leads to a range of social problems and should be eradicated. People on the right believe in private ownership over the means of production , they are against direct democracy and believe that political power belongs in the hands of the few - invariably those who own the means of production. They generally believe in plutocracy as opposed to democracy 'despite what they say'. They view inequality as natural and therefore not worth adressing.

The only problem i have with what Inkus said is the rule of the majority. Anarchists are not democrats or dictators. We believe in free association and no rule whatever. We are democratic only to the extent that those that choose to involve themselves in any part of society make decisions between themselves. But since there is no government or law in an anarchic society, democratic politics are not an issue. In other words, the majority is not able to supress, repress, or oppress a minority.

It would be similar in some ways - it would be incorrect to call it tribalism since it will not function primarily on the basis of kinship. Global society will continue to develop and flourish in the absence of powerful institutions.
