| https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivn8PrZlAXoI wonder how it is possible that still many people in US believe that this country is a country that protects freedom. How is it that in the land of brave, the land of the free the police crushes demonstrants in such a way? | |

How is it that in the land of brave, the land of the free the police crushes demonstrants in such a way? Cos their ignorant. The LAPD even reported no injuries when you could see people in some of the videos, as well reported by news crews and firefighters who were called to help the wounded, carried off on stretchers and ambulences. Even some of the news casters were injured. Even still, this was pretty mild for the LAPD; i've seen some pretty brutal shit from the LAPD.

Shit, the capitalists mean business... O_O I did a report on this, so i'll give some background. The LAPD said they started firing rubber bullets and swinging batons because some "anarchists" (they probably were, but there's no way of telling) in the crowd started throwing rocks and bottles filled with gravel at the cops. Also, a few anarchists had pulled a cop off his motorcycle (let the laughing commence) and then ran off into the crowd. They also admitted that they were completely unprepared for this event. No shadow and mirror teams, no universal channel for all the cops to use to communicate (it ended up being pretty scattered), etc. Also, during the march to macarthur park, some members of the march drifted off in another direction, and the cops didn't have any walls set up to guide the people to the park, so instead, they moved in a brigade of cops on motorcycles to push the crowd back. This ended up condensing the crowd, and from that point, everyone in the crowd felt like the cops were roughin em up. That was the boiling point. But really, you can logically come to the conclusion that when the cops show up in full riot gear!!!!.... something's goin down. The cops were instigating from the start.

This is EXACTLY like the violence when the African Americans fought for their civil rights. And the protesters made good points too. I had BETTER send this to my history class. Let them taste "true democracy". LULZ, I think they will understand a bit better on why I am a communist...

I don't know where you live, but i showed some videos in a class of mine and gave the facts i shared here, and they all sided with the cops... Although it was a criminal justice class, haha, so maybe your classmates will be more sympathetic.

| I didn't even see that vid, I hate the US police force - Iv seen that program cops its disgusting, shower of racist fucks
They film police harassing troubled black teenagers from disadvantaged backgrounds and portray it as entertainment for middle class suburbia - something for the rich to laugh at and make money from.
It should be banned and the sicko who invented it should be put to death.

| honestly the LAPD dousn't count...
The LAPD has to protect largest(NYC offically larger but how many Illigals are not counted on the census?) city in the U.S by itself. Back in 1991 they could't even contain a riot of unorganised thugs agnry about some guy being beaten up... and it ended up being the largest riot in US History. They have their hands full on the extream crime that can only result from a mix of Illigal Immigrants, Large Population, Heat that drives people to go crazy, and just plain ignorance of its people.

People rioting over police brutality is entirely understandable. Most police officers - 'with exception' are on a power trip and see no prob with abusing their power.
