Superheroes

I usually don't like superheroes, but I have to say I've got a special grudge against Batman. Anyone can guess why? I hope my socialist comrades will be able to understand why.

I dont like Superheroes. And I definitely do NOT like Superheroes movies. I mean how cool they are and all, but seriously... batman movie for example, the dude dresses up like a freaking bat.. this are not the 80's where we put on costumes I mean c'mooon.

Vigilante justice? Locking all his enemies in a looney bin? Illegally working with the corrupt law enforcement? Seeking violent revenge? Being a pedophile? (come on, you know Robin's no help with the crime fighting, so how's he earn his pay?)

The reasons for which I dislike Batman specialy (and for which I can hardly respect someone's like for him) is that he's nothing but the figure of the most prominent bourgeoise whose hobby consists of dressing like a bat with adjusted clothing to go and beat up burglars with hi-tech cheesy weaponry(built and designed by those who work for him), like you said, illegaly assisting corupt law enforcement.

His powers (or what makes him powerful) rely entirely on the exploitation of god knows how many workers.

He's the efigy of capitalism - getting rich at people expenses who are poor because of him and who commit "crimes" because they are poor which makes them target of his assaults with the powers bestowed upon him by the workers under his grip...

Oh ya! Through all that pondering i totally forgot he's bourgeois, heh.

Unfortunately i can't claim that at the moment, but they do downplay that bourgeois side of him (or rather, it's made from the cappie perspective, so it's meaningless to those who made the comic, and thus gets no attention).

Never really thought of the irony... which is pretty heavy, actually. Maybe the creator realized this, and Batman was just meant as a slap in the face of the working class.

And, correct me if Im wrong, he never worked for it either, he just inherited it from his dad family.

Well, yes indirectly, by stopping the evil plans of the jeeyaboos in the city. Idk how many times Joker tried to poison the city's water suply.

But yeah, i prefer him. His super power is MONEY! And how ironic is that. Captain America is cool too (Cause he's a fake superhero) , along with Iceman.

Batman uses his money and power to fight crime. He donates most of his fortune to charity, or in making his batcave or building the Justice League's shit. When he saves the world from another alien invasion because Superman's in another galaxy, Wonder Woman's not caring becase she's liberating a tiny village of women, or Green Lanter's ring is out of power again, just rememebr that he's a silly fool who dressed like a bat adn fights burglers.

same boat, im a die hard fan, but im a bit embarrassed, i have read almost every graphic novel.

I could never possibly understand how a soialist would love Batman in any sense.

Ah Jesus, jesus.... when you love a character it's because you love its caharcteristics. Batman represents all that stands agaist socialism, plus he's a fucking wimp compared to say Superman or Wolverine or, of course, Dr. Manhattan!
