INCOME TAX = SOCIALISM OMFGGG. That's one reason. And I'd say that the whole understanding for some idealogies in America are wrong, liberal there is almost the same as a social democrat here, a conservative there is way extremer then our conservatives. Silly Americans.

| The thing Matta, is that the American media and political groups call "socialism" everything that involves the slightest amount of social welfare in what they perceive as "distribution of wealth". | |

| Also, there's a funny thig going on in Russia. Some media, in what I'd call "pure american style" started labling the EU "Second USSR" just for slight raises on taxes and such. | |

Although to some extent Europe is indeed seen as a counterbalance to US and at least in some regards Germany and France, which I believe can be considered the leading powers within the EU, have shown some slight opposition to some of US foeign policies. Nonetheless, the sole idea a confrontation between EU and USA, even at a merely diplomatic level is one of the most ludicrous things one could come up with. Many nationalistic people in America see Europe and want to portray it as a bunch of faggotly socialist-leaning nations (some actually label Nordic countries "Socialist faglands that would be a shame to the vikings" ) that are a potential rival to USA. Plus there's this silly "Euro" versus "Dollar" thing as part of popular culture.

| Yea economical EU gonna fuck the US up, cuz euro is way higher, and the pound is going under that means the UK gonna whine if they can use the euro and some oil exports and stuff is getting payd in euro now and all that stuff.
And I remember Bill O'rly was like "Is this country turning into socialist Sweden!?", and we all know what kinda socialist nightmare Sweden is right, I mean shit, free dental and universal health care, ZE HORROR!
