Hugo Chavez

He is the present leader of Venezuela, a christian socialist who is not only known for his opposition to George W. Bush, but also known for nationalising many huge corporations and building socialism through the "Bolivar Revolution".

How do you like Chavez and what do you especially like/don't like about him?

He's a good man. I think that if he plays his cars right he can continue to help Latin-America to throw off the yoke of US domination.

To me the word "Hero" conjures images of people in spandex and capes, and I have no desire to see Hugo Chavez in either of those. So I voted "A good man".

The US "Big Stick" policy refers to us ensuring that Latin America is not colonized by external forces. We won't directly change anything in those countries (other than occasionally supporting revolutionary geurillas) but we still will protect them from Euro and Asian influence.
