| I just wonderd what the opinion of kosovo was here. Personaly I think s- kosovo shuld be allowed to merge with albania as it could not support an army nor a stable econamy. | |

| Kosovo should join what its people want to join. If they want to stay in Serbia they should stay as part of Serbia, if not they should merge with Albania or be independent. But... how to know this? Most of people tend to be indifferent and the western intervention in that zone is quite too dense. | |

| Well, Albania is theoretically an independent state. | |

| Do the Albanians WANT Kosovo?
I'm not entirely too sure about this topic. All I know is that this conflict is mainly due to nationalism and narrow-minded predujices held by both sides, i.e. "Us against Them".

You are right , it is but the uprisings and riots going in Kosovo are leading to a totally different conclusion. Tensions between the two communities had been simmering throughout the 20th century and had occasionally erupted into major violence, particularly during the First Balkan War, World War I and World War II. The Communist government of Josip Broz Tito systematically repressed nationalist manifestations throughout Yugoslavia, seeking to ensure that no Yugoslav republic or nationality gained dominance over the others. In particular, the power of Serbia—the largest and most populous republic—was diluted by the establishment of autonomous governments in the province of Vojvodina in the north of Serbia and Kosovo in the south. Kosovo's borders did not precisely match the areas of ethnic Albanian settlement in Yugoslavia (significant numbers of Albanians were left in the Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia, while the far north of Kosovo remained largely ethnic Serbian). Nonetheless, the majority of its inhabitants since at least the 1921 census were Albanian.

| I think it greatly depends on what Kosovo citizens may want. Logistically, taking into account the situation of Serbia, it would be more convenient for Kosovo to join Albania since it has access to the sea while Serbia doesn't. | |

| very hard question , firstly as i know albanians whant to Kosovo in they're country's territory , but its historical Serbia's city. In Kosovo (demography) there are 90% albanians. But they don't want to join Albania nor Serbia. So there are 3 ways and its not commie scums decision with way they'll chose. | |

| I think Kosovo must remain serbian, but all people who wish to become albanians must be given the possibility to migrate to albania. | |

That line could hardly be more unnecesary. Options for Kosovo: 1. Merge with Albania: It would logistically be better since Albania has access to the Sea while Serbia doesn't. 2. Stay Serbian: That would avoid a probably unnecesary war. 3. Become independant: Taking into account the limitations Serbia has, Kosovo would be even more limited, it would be just a smaller weaker state that amidst a war could be even splitted between Serbia and Albania. What I would personally like to happen: Reunification of Yugoslavia.

think about it Not in real economics. They simply have more GDP per capita than other nations but are totally dependant on other bigger nations not to mention they can be squatted like flies.
