Libertarian Party

Why is there no party for libertarians? Libertarianism is a major political ideology. I think the administrator of this forum has made a mistake in not including libertarians.

If there was a catagory for ever ideology there would be thousands. Its not as major as the ones available.

Last time I checked the Libertarian Party had more members than the Communist Party. In fact, the Libertarian Party is the largest 3rd party in the United States.

this is the WORLD republic not the US republic.

Oh boy the have third biggest party in a 2 party system! Libretarians are bound to win the '08 election. Sorry, to sound rash, I do actually agree that they should make more partys, it would attract more people to the site. I was just making the point that the libretarian party may be well known to us Americans, but not necisarly the other members of the site.

If you want to talk about the "world view", Libertarian brings up a completely different context practically everywhere outside of the U.S.

I think the closest party we would have for the U.S. equivalent of the Libertarian party would be "Conservative Republican", or perhaps even "Authoritarian Right-Wing". I don't mean to sound harsh, but Libertarianism in the global scheme of things is completely different than it is here in the U.S., and the previous two definitions are the closest ideologies we have here right now.
