| Well... I'm new here, so that probably makes me a newbie, right? ^^; Where to start? Naturally, the name would be Nephee for you I come from Quebec (go maple syrup! ) so, naturally, I speak French. I'm also quite fluent in English and I know teeny-weeny bits of Spanish. And also Japanese, since I'm... quite the anime freak! =D I'm 16 years old, and I'm right into my last year of secondary school... which is the equivalent of the "senior year" in American high schools, I believe. And... this year is a real pain in the a**, if you ask me. Oh well, at least CEGEP is nearby! As for my political aspirations... I'd first like to know more about the different kinds of politics - I know a few things, but not much. So, I won't choose a group to apply to yet. However, I must tell that I'm quite pacific, I care for the well-being of everyone, and I can't tolerate selfishness - to me, a true government must care about the people of their country, and not a few lobbyists who shoves them huge amouts of money in their face. I also hold fredom of speech and thought in high regards, as long as this freedom doesn't hurt anyone, and I'm concerned about the environment. Finally, I can't wait to be 18. To vote. To finally have my own word to say about the government! Oh, and just before some people start rumors about me being some copycat of Lilith... lemme tell you that I'm actually a friend of hers! It's normal we have similar traits. However, I don't know much about Hagard... yet | |

| Welcome to our little World Republic, Nephee! Indeed, you are the "new one". Deal with it! Feel free to ask if you got any questions. I have my last year, too. Work harder and the pain will go away (probably ^^). Good luck for your CEGEP ( even if I don't know it ) It is good you wanna look befor taking stance. Your goals / wishes are claimed by most groups. Even so, the question how to reach it is quite critical. I would agree to beatnikzach, you sound more reformist than revolutionist. Many posts discuss this problem between refleft and revleft, most important point is time. Reformists believe in small steps and prevent bloodshed, revolutionists believe in rush and necessary bloodshed, and some of them even deny revolution needs bloodshed. What do you think? End all supression and exploitation now, even with violence or endure it while try to change without violence? Your will to vote is examplary. I hope everyone would be like this. | |

Some reformists even deny that capitalism causes even more bloodshed and death than even a purely violent majority revolution. | |

| They can be communists in heart but social-democrats in practice. I think they can betaught to make up their mind. | |

| Whoa! You're so nice ^_^ Thank you guys ^_^ @ Calinis: Mmmmh... I don't know. People from Quebec are getting interested in politics? It's not a bad thing @ Marijah: With all that you said, I'm much more refleft. I'm not into bloodshed. I know it's not always a good thing - enduring is no better, especially from those who suffer under capitalism - but I don't think a violent revolution is necessary. But, as I told, I'm here to learn more about it. I'll go look for the topics you talked about pretty soon. @ Cyprian: I know, I'm weird. @ CoolKidX: Too many to count! Fullmetal Alchemist (first real anime that hooked me ^^), Death Note, Code Geass, Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro, Ouran High School Host Club... and others I forgot to mention. With what you just said, seems like I'm some kind of left-wing (and there sure is a lot of left-wings here!) | |
