| To my knowledge there are 2 people that want this group, me and CoolKidX. We'd like our group color to be white. Thoughts?

| Well, id like to see another right group since there is stalnist and maoist(whoa arnt still deleted), but i think there should be a libertain group, since there confused with liberals etc. I think its a nice idea and i support a new group of this kind.
But im still in liberal group, just support the birth of this group ^^

| Ah, okay. The right wingers are sorely underrepresented. I mean, you have social democrats and liberal democrats, but the definition of "democrat" is pretty much "liberal" and "liberal" is pretty much the same as "social" so what gives there? | |

Also is "Maoism" the same mao as in "Mao Zedong"? Yessir. Think of Stalinism, but instead of focusing on the urban, industrialized proletariat, you put the focus on the agrarian peasantry. Also, voted yes, dawg. Although, I gotta say, I'm hoping the group will be called the "Capitalist" group rather than the "Libertarian" group.

| Either will be great... libertarianism implies capitalism.
Also, "Liberal Republican" is an oxymoron.

Also, "Liberal Republican" is an oxymoron. See, the thing about that is that Libertarianism - and I'm using the term in the context which it used to have - doesn't really imply any economic meaning at all. Libertarianism used to be, purely, Anarchism - hence the phrase Libertarian Socialist. Also, I wouldn't say that Liberal Republicanism is oxymoronic. It just implies a republican style of government (like this one) with a liberal - in the classical sense of the term - approach to economics (like this one). Plus, there used to be a Liberal Republican Party.

| Modern libertarians don't support lawlessness they just support lack of government intervention where it's not needed.
Murder will still be illegal. Rape will still be illegal (pity...) Stealing will still be illegal. Vandalism will still be illegal.
Anyone who thinks that libertarianism is lawlessness doesn't really understand what it is.
