Austrian government lowered income tax

Well that's how capitalism works, that is, through absurdities.

They make it that evrything is "fair', liek you earn less, you get back less, you pay more, you get back more etc.

A guy with more moeny shouldnt pay more tax just for haveing more money, that isnt equal, and mayeb he could miss it indeed, btu then he could give it away to a roganastion ro a hobo, if he can miss it he can give it to a regluar ass guy.

Actually, from the Communist view - and you can find this right there in the Communist Manifesto - an extremely high income tax is a good thing and is, in fact, the first thing that Karl Marx advocates doing during the period of transitory Socialism. There's a list of ten things that Marx says should be achieved during this Socialist transition, and a heavy and progressive income tax is the first thing on that list.

EDIT: I just pulled out my copy of the Manifesto just to double check this, and I was wrong. It was the second thing on the list. Whatever.

yea but its bad if the people spend their money on crap, thats why the government shald controll what the people spend money on.

Income tax is fucking retarded and immoral. You shouldn't tax someone because they are succesful.

He called those planks antiquated in 1872.
Also, I have no problem with making taxes higher, but they're pretty much going to go down anyways, the welfare state is fairly unsustainable. However, most taxes in, say, the US, go to fund the army.

Normally I'd be totally against the ridiculously high amount of military spending in the US but since I'm now in the army.... I sorta like the checks.

no, hes not saying tax is bad, just income tax.

Income taxes are still the backbone of it, is the thing. << Getting rid of an income tax would only force the U.S. into greater debt, so if it's ever done, it'd have to be when capitalism is riding high.

US may be in debt, but do you have any idea how much other countries OWE the US?

Without taxes there will be no one to exinguish the fire once your home starts to burn, there will be no one to protect you from murderers and thiefs, there will be no one to give you monetary support once you get fired, there will be no one to light streets at night, there will be no one to educate all children and no one to heal all patients!

No, but I know that USA owes China over 580.000.000.000 $, owes Japan over 500.000.000.000 $, owes UK over 380.000.000.000 $ and owes other countries a couple of bills too.
