| Capitalism has never worked in the long run. NEVER.
Ask your fellow peoples. I am sure they will say "no".

| the only reason it has "flourished" is because of exploitation and oppression. so at what cost is your flourishment? |

| dude, at the cost of? nothing rely capitalism has only improved the systems that preseded it and noone will deny that it's better to have a capitalist rathere than a aristocrat.
and also the poor aren't really poor, classes fluctuate a lot in each 10 years 40% of Americans fall under the poverty line but still the average level is 13% wich shows that people trie to get out of poverty and succeed in doing so but at the same time people fall under the poverty line perhaps because of some medical incident natrual disaster getting fierd bought something wich had rediculus interests or some shit like that only a fraction live in constant poverty.
n terms of social structure, the Industrial Revolution witnessed the triumph of a middle class of industrialists and businessmen over a landed class of nobility and gentry.
Ordinary working people found increased opportunities for employment in the new mills and factories, but these were often under strict working conditions with long hours of labour dominated by a pace set by machines. However, harsh working conditions were prevalent long before the Industrial Revolution took place. Pre-industrial society was very static and often cruel—child labour, dirty living conditions and long working hours were just as prevalent before the Industrial Revolution.[29]
and capitalist were just as bad in the days of the industrial revulution as aristocrats so the capitalist weren't the oppressor it was just the norm for those days it was probably and improvement from the feudalism before it.
in realaty capitalism has improved the world but there is still work to do not and I think that liberalism and centerism are best for that.
