| So the workers were the ruling class but they did not have complete control over the state? | |

kind of...the worker's beaurocratic regime is the ruling force but they don't necessarily constitute a class |

And yeah, loling with you. heh, just makin sure. The USSR was indeed a negation of capitalism in the orthodox sense; but it was only a partial negation. Even in a "socialist" society you cannot completely do away with a capitalist system when surrounded by capitalist countries that wish to, utterly and completely, destroy you. That's where Trotsky and i meet. We will not completely do away with capitalist tendencies until the majority decides it's time to do away with them. | |

Wow. Once again i am overwhelmed by your insight and ability to open up whole new ways of thinking i have never even imagined before now. I bow in the presence of greatness. - Quote :

Even in the sarcastic way that you tried (and failed) to use that term, you make me sickened by your stupidity. A "nit" is a bug, you fool. So what, the nit'll bleed? Why don't you think before you post utter tripe; if you refuse, don't post at all; you're just wasting everyone's time and energy.

| Analysis of the USSR is crucial because it is an indicator of someone's position. Stalinists say healthy worker's state, trots say degenerated, shachtmanites say bureaucratic collectivism and ultraleftists say state capitalism. | |

I no longer support them because of reading this:http://www.newyouth.com/archives/classics/trotsky/hue_and_cry_kronstadt_trotsky.asp It's called hue and cry over kronstadt by trotsky. He explained how the kronstadts were just a bunch of petty bourgeois idealists and how giving all power to the soviets at that time would have led to a return to capitlism.
