For those who don't know, N Korea about 30 years ago kidnapped over a dozen Japanese children in order to learn Japanese customs for their spies. N Korea has released 5 of those children back to Japan.
The news just had a special on it. They were speaking with one of the families. Their daughter was said to commit suicide during her time in N Korea but the body remains they gave the family did not match her DNA so it's some other female that was captured. Very sad story.

Er...this was a LONG time ago. I've already heard about this story and to be honest, it's quite biased against N Korea.
Sure, Kim Jong-il overseeing literally EVERYTHING may have a part in it but considering the logistics of the army and sciences...well, I think it was an accidental mix-up rather than anything "planned" out.
But this seriously was a LLLOOONNNGGGG time ago.
