| https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7a34o65RksAfter Italian right wing prime minister Berlusconi passed the law Gelmini, which will reduce the government spending on universities by 1.4 billion Euro and will fire 70.000 professors, almost a million students have gathered from all over Italy to protest in Rome.
Berlusconi responded to this protest: "It is a scandalous left-wing, which wants to change facts"

| i got an italian friend, but havnt spoke to him for a while. lets see what he says to this. this kind of things also happends almost each year in denmark but since italy is bigger country. etc | |

That's just wrong That's also the reason why there is almost a million demonstrants. Imagine what will happen to the students, if 70.000 professors will be missing. There will be overcrowded classrooms and if will be hard to study the major you want. If our students in Austria rallied for such a huge protest 7 years ago, I would have never had to pay university fees. Austrian government is more scared of their people than fascist Berlusconi.
