Gay Marriage

Do you support? I absolutely am against it. It will cause the extinction of the human race. I wont back this up unless I have to.

Believe it or not, I'm against it. Can anyone guess as to why?

because christians only get married, and you believe in collective partners?

Marriage is a religios thing. THe state and church should remain seperate. A MARRIAGE shouldn't have any effect on laws or rights at all. Period. You want a civil union, great. That's a civil union. A marriage should stay the hell out.

Beyond that, since that seperation isn't likely to happen, yeah, gays should get married. I see no issue with it at all.

Well, here in Mexico there is "civil marriage", civil union is another thing. So technically, at least here, Marriage is separated from the church having a civil counterpart.

That's why I didn't quite get why you opposed it.

I'm cool with it, insofar as we are willing to accept marriage as a legitimate institution.

I think the real discussion should be this: is marriage outdated?

Basically what I was saying.

Since marriage is a religious matter and I do not like it very much, I am absolutely for the RIGHT of gay marriage.

If homosexuals wish to marry they have every right to do so.

And yeah, Gay Mariages sould be allowed, but at the discretion of the priest/church. If he believes that's against what he believes in, we certainly shouldn't force him

Only as long as A) they don't recieve public funding and B) a church marriage has no effect on law.

Church mariage would be considered no different then civil mariage.

I strayed away from marxism a little while ago. With no proper name, I call my self a marxist because 98% percent of my beliefs are inline with marxism. This along with abolishment of families i do not support.

I don't have a problem with families, actually I believe it to be utmost irrelevant to Marxist thought. But why do you think the acceptance of gay marriage may imply the extinction of the human race?
