There has never been any evidence to even suggest that. Essentially this is just 'think of a number' propaganda. As Mao himself said: "Without investigation, no right to speak". Liche has taken a correct position in that he has not jumped to any conclusions based on the day-to-day manufacturing of public opinion that is carried out under western reactionary hegemony. http://art-bin.com/art/omaotoc.html

| I'm quite neutral to Mao since I don't know his theories very well and I don't count with enough information on his actions. What in my view is a fact is that, as it usually happens with leaders of his kind, he's accused of killing ridiculously high ammounts of people (usually surpassing "Hitler's toll") to make him look like a monster, among the top monsters in history. Most of which lack either logic substance, evidence or both.
I'm also neutral to Maoism because I don't know it deeply enough, but I agree totally with some of the few postulates I know of him, just as I do with some of Stalin's. Both characters and ideologies greatly attacked both by west and by revisionists with their own countries.

| I am also rather neutral to Mao too. Besides, the number of people he supposed "killed" is completely unrealistic and literally IMPOSSIBLE to achieve within his some 30 year rule.
Also, Stalin was accused of killing over 60 million of Russia's population BEFORE World War 2. I instantly KNEW that was freaking impossible since, one: Russia's population wasn't even that big, and two: The Red Army still had plenty of soldiers left to fight the Nazis to exhastion.
But also, seriously. Just HOW can a leader kill "insert double digit million plus number here" in such a short period of time? It first, defies ALL logic and reasoning, and second, is a tool to justify Western ignorance and hate.

I don't conceive a succesful revolution in which the peasantry and proletariat are not united. Specially in a framework like Mexico's.
